For Parents

Modern children are spending more and more time on their phones. Completely avoiding games, YouTube, or social media is almost impossible.

We created Mira Move to turn part of screen time into short movement breaks and help children stay active without constant reminders, arguments, or pressure.

Our Mission

Mira Move isn’t about taking phones away from children.

Our goal is to help children build the habit of taking short movement breaks while using their favorite apps.

We believe that even a few minutes of physical activity throughout the day are better than no movement at all. Small, consistent breaks can help make movement a natural part of everyday screen time.

No Punishments

Mira Move isn’t designed to punish children for using their phones.

Instead, it offers a simple and positive routine:

Complete a short exercise and keep using your app.

Over time, children begin to see these movement breaks as a natural part of screen time rather than an interruption.

Why We Chose This Approach

We believe healthy habits are easier to build through clear routines and consistency than through restrictions.

That’s why Mira Move doesn’t completely restrict access to apps. Instead, it encourages children to take a short movement break before continuing to play games, watch videos, or use their favorite apps.

Why Does Mira Move Use the Camera?

The phone’s camera is used only to automatically detect and count exercise repetitions.

This allows children to complete exercises on their own, without parental assistance, while the app automatically restores access to the selected apps once the exercise has been successfully completed.

Privacy

Mira Move doesn’t require registration to use the Mira Move Pause feature.

You can start using the app immediately after installing it.

Why Short Exercises?

We intentionally keep the number of repetitions low.

Our goal isn’t to tire children out, but to make movement a natural part of their daily routine.

Short, regular exercises are easier to turn into a lasting habit than long, occasional workouts.

The Role of Parents

We recommend that younger children perform exercises under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Parents can help ensure the exercises are performed with proper technique and encourage their children throughout the activity.
