Exercises in Mira Move

Mira Move uses simple, basic exercises that can be done almost anywhere without any special equipment.

We intentionally chose exercises that most children are already familiar with: squats, push-ups, and abdominal crunches. They help make short movement breaks a natural part of screen time.

Mira Move’s main goal is not to replace sports or workouts, but to help children move regularly—even while watching YouTube, playing games, or using social media.

Why These Exercises?

Every exercise in Mira Move is selected based on a few simple principles:

  • Easy for children to understand

  • Requires no special equipment

  • Can be completed in just a few seconds

  • Suitable for doing at home

  • Encourages regular movement breaks throughout the day

What Do the Exercises Help Develop?

Squats

Help develop leg strength and lower-body endurance.

Push-ups

Help build strength in the arms, shoulders, and chest.

Abdominal Crunches

Help strengthen the core muscles.

Why Short Exercises Work Best

We recommend keeping exercises short while taking movement breaks regularly.

Several short exercise breaks throughout the day are much easier to turn into a lasting habit than a single long workout.

That’s why Mira Move focuses on consistency rather than intensity.

The Camera Automatically Counts Repetitions

All exercises are performed in front of your phone’s camera.

Mira Move automatically detects each exercise and counts repetitions. Once the required number of repetitions has been completed, access to the selected apps is restored automatically.

Before You Begin

We recommend doing a short warm-up before each exercise to help prepare the muscles for physical activity.

For Parents

We recommend that younger children perform exercises under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

This helps ensure proper technique, provides encouragement, and makes the experience more enjoyable.

Our Philosophy

Mira Move doesn’t prevent children from using their phones.

We believe short movement breaks can help make screen time healthier and more balanced.

Every exercise is a small step toward building a lifelong habit of staying active.

A Few Minutes of Movement Are Better Than None

Not every child is ready to play sports every day.

But if a child stands up a few times a day while watching YouTube or playing games to do a few squats or push-ups, that’s better than spending the entire day without moving.

These small but regular movement breaks can help children gradually build a lasting habit of physical activity.
